Campagnolo Record HO Schaltwerk RD18-RE1M It`s the heart and soul of the Record™ 11s drivetrain! The Record™ rear derailleur has always evoked competitions and wins, and still today represents for professional racers the certainty of fast and extremely precise shifting, even under load. But you don`t have to be a pro to take advantage of the performance features of the Record™ 11-speed: the fun is for all. The HO version of the Record rear derailleur has been especially optimized for disc-brake frames with with 142 mm OLD. The derailleur mounting link and its design has been adapted to provide an easy mounting and dismounting of the thru axle or rear wheel. Furthermore the teeth of the upper pulley has been extended to guarantee precisely shifting also at high skew. Features & Benefits Completely new design The new shape of the external components enables the rear derailleur to move according to a different angle and the new internal design keeps the chain nearer the cassette to ensure better power transmission, greater and more secure traction, a better chain/sprocket interface and greater durability of components subject to wear and tear. EMBRACE TECHNOLOGY™ The special chainring positioned inside the gear body acts on a rectangular section spring that allows the component to move along a trajectory that perfectly follows the curve of the sprockets, on both the 11-23 cassette and the new 11-29. Compatibility note: To ensure the functionality of the mechanical Super Record, Record and Chorus drivetrains, Campagnolo recommends to avoid the use of older components at shifting groups from 2015 on. A distinctive marking, a squared letter as in picture 2, helps recognizing actual shifting components. The letters of the corresponding parts (right Ergopower and rear derailleur / left Ergopower, derailleur, cups and crankset) should match.
